Adaptive Bike Giveaway at Studio Movie Grill January 31, 2017 10:47 PM

Eight year old, Addison Welborn of North Richland Hills was surprised with a shiny new purple adaptive trike at the premiere sensory friendly movie screening of Monster Trucks at the brand new Studio Movie Grill in Arlington, TX – Lincoln Square! Proceeds from the SMG Chefs for Children menu were given to Variety to help purchase this special bike for a very special little girl. Addison was born with Cerebral Palsy making riding a traditional bike impossible. Her family is very active in the cycling community in Dallas and family bike rides are a common activity. Finding an alternative to a regular bike so that Addison could participate was very important to her family. Addison’s mom did some research and discovered the Freedom Concepts adaptive tricycle but when they saw the hefty price tag, the family lost hope. Variety stepped in to help Addison’s dream of riding her own bike come true. We are so grateful to Studio Movie Grill for their incredible financial support of Variety’s Direct Assistance program, helping Variety to empower children with special needs across Texas.
