On Saturday May 7th, 2016, Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba held its annual ‘Come One, Come All’ Gold Heart Gala held at the Club Regent Event Centre.

The Gala was an overwhelming success, due not only to the numerous corporate partners, supporters, and donors, but also to the exceptional venue at Club Regent Event Centre, which was key in accommodating Variety of Manitoba’s largest Variety Gala ever! A full evening of entertainment, impressive performers and a full array of carnival games greeted everyone, from the moment our guests arrived at The Event Centre’s entrance, to walking ‘The Red Carpet.’  Variety took each of the attendees – young and old alike – back to the days of the midway to experience the thrills and laughter of being a child again.

“We thank every guest, donor, supporter, and corporate partner – together we raised in excess of $425,000 net for our ‘Children”

Variety was delighted to feature the evening’s entertainment – The Guess Who, Winnipeg’s own homegrown band, who reached international stardom and truly put Winnipeg on the map in the Music industry! This legendary group brought the ‘Big Top’ down, following the tasty carnival cuisine, delectable dinner, and spectacular Live Auction.  Special thanks and sincere appreciation to Club Regent Event Centre, Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries, Events by Emma, Variety of Manitoba’s amazing Staff and hardworking Volunteers, along with the Presenting Sponsor: Pratts Wholesale and Food Service for making the carnival, midway and Gala Evening a magnificent success!

Variety’s annual ‘Come One, Come All’ Gold Heart Gala raises significant funds each year for Manitoba’s Children, and continues to raise the bar each year for monies raised because of your kind generosity.

“On behalf of Variety Manitoba, our Board of Directors, our Staff and especially ‘The Children’ we serve, THANK YOU for you for ‘Giving A Child a Childhood.’ You are part of the solution for Manitoba’s kids”
