We are so proud to officially welcome you to the Variety Archiving Project – a space dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich, beautiful history of Variety – the Children’s Charity! This project has truly been a labor of love, created with intention and a deep respect for the generations who have shaped our story.
For nearly a century, Variety has been changing the lives of children around the world. Behind that impact are countless stories, milestones, and memories – captured in journals, photographs, programs, and keepsakes that deserve to be protected and shared. This archive is our way of honoring that legacy while making it accessible for the future.
This work would not exist without an extraordinary group of individuals who have poured their time and heart into bringing it to life.

For Phase 1, we’re thrilled to introduce three historic journals from 1938, 1941 and 1960 – offering a glimpse into the moments and milestones that have shaped Variety over the years. These early pieces are just a starting point, and we can’t wait to continue building on this foundation.
Phase 2 will expand the archive even further, bringing more stories and artifacts to life.
But this project isn’t meant to be built by a few – it’s meant to be built together.
We would love to collaborate with Tents all around the world to continue growing this archive into something truly representative of our global community.
