A letter from the President

Dear Variety Family,

As we approach our centenary, our team has reflected on the incredible history we collectively have written – nearly 100 years of milestones and memories that have shaped who we are today.   While many of our stories have been shared, we also are confident that across every Tent, there are stories tucked away in photos, letters, programs, and archives that deserve to be seen and shared.

I’m proud to report that the VI Advisory Committee has taken a meaningful step toward bringing all of that history together. What you’ll find on this page is the first version of our global archive – a starting point, not a finished product.

This is meant to be something living and growing, but it only becomes something truly special with your help. We know there are so many incredible pieces of Variety’s story still sitting in files, boxes, and photo albums around the world. If you have something that captures a moment, a memory, or a piece of our ‘Greater Variety’ journey, we would love for you to share it with us. Our team will make sure it finds a home in the global archive, becoming part of the story that carries our legacy forward.

Over time, this will become more than just a collection – it will be a place where anyone across our network can explore and see a fuller picture of who we are together.
