Having been a Charter member from 1974, Grahame is a ‘founding father’ of Variety in Australia with 50yrs of continuous outstanding service at local and international levels. He has served terms as Chief Barker from 1980 to 1984 and again from 1992-1994, Chair of Variety Australia from 1995-1997, Variety International Director 1995-2009 and President of Variety International 2007-2009 as well as a member of the Variety International Advisory Council.
Grahame’s significant achievements and contributions to society were recognized in 1986 with appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia (AM). Grahame and his family remain actively involved with Variety in Australia today.
As General Manager of a Sth Australian radio station, Sue Mapp played the key role in establishing Variety Sth Australia and was later appointed as its ED, surrounding herself with a hugely talented and hardworking team and building Tent 75 into one of the most successful Tents worldwide. She has served as a Variety International Ambassador, been honoured at Government House in Sth Australia with a ‘SA Great Award’, appointed a Life Member of Tent 75, and coinciding with 40yrs of outstanding service to Variety, was appointed a Life Member of Tent 56, New South Wales. Sue continues to actively support Variety and its work for disadvantaged kids.
