Meet Nenetzy, a 4-year-old girl who loves looking fashionable with her big colored hair bows. Although she is quiet and shy, her beautiful smile can light up any room. Born at only 29 weeks, Nenetzy faced many challenges as a premature baby. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of one. This is a condition that affects the body’s physical movement.
Variety – the Children’s Charity of the Desert was determined to provide her with an adaptive bike that would allow her to exercise her physical movement as well as bring joy to her life.
Nenetzy was excited and ready to give the adaptive bike a try. Within only five minutes of testing the bike, the excitement kicked in and she pedaled away without anyone’s assistance!
Her determination is an example of what fuels the efforts of Variety’s staff members to continue finding ways to support children with special needs and who are disadvantaged.
