What are the
Variety Lifetime Service Awards
The Variety Lifetime Service Awards was initiated in 2022 by dedicated Board members and volunteers and ratified by the VI Advisory Council & Board in 2023. The first inductees were announced at the Variety International virtual AGM on May 16th, 2023.
The VI Lifetime Service Award may be voted upon annually, based upon key criteria required for the nominee(s) to be considered. This includes:
- Longevity and Dedication to Variety’s cause.
- An Inspirational Leadership style – a mentor and role model for others.
- Creating real impact for Variety as an organization, and the children we serve.
- Recognition from Variety and other organizations for their work

Service is the lifeblood of its organization. Everything flows from it and is nourished by it. The Variety Lifetime Service Award recognizes individuals whose service has been the lifeblood of Variety – the Children’s Charity at a local, national and international level.
Success is rarely an accident, it is nearly always the result of dedication, intention, sincere effort and integrity, along with skilful direction and execution. The individuals or couples nominated for the Variety Lifetime Service Award, Variety International’s Hall of Fame, personify these values.
